POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for preparing and filing state and federal income returns for the company and ensuring that all tax-related filings are compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Prepare and file Federal and State Income Tax returns
  • Prepare and file State and Federal quarterly estimates
  • Prepare annual E&P group calculation
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provision
  • Respond to tax notices and audits.
  • Review state sales & use tax filings for Marubeni America Corporation
  • Review state property tax filings for Marubeni America Corporation
  • Prepare and file federal information returns for Marubeni America Corporation and subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and file state annual reports for Marubeni America Corporation

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 2 years of Federal income tax experience
  • Advanced Excel skills required (X-Lookups, SUMIFS, Power Query); ability to build and maintain complex workbooks
  • OneSource Income Tax experience required
  • Strong tax technology skills; experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools a plus; willingness to adopt and champion AI tools and emerging technologies
  • Strong analytical, technical and research skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
