Job description

Precision is an award-winning integrated strategy and marketing agency based in Washington, DC and New York, NY. Powered by data, we bring world-class experts in each of our service areas to conceive, develop, and run campaigns that help our clients seize opportunities and solve their biggest challenges. We're at the center of today's biggest debates and defining moments, inside the Beltway, across New York's media and financial worlds, and in state capitals across the country. Our work sits at the intersection of politics, business, and culture, helping leaders and organizations make an impact when it matters most. We hire people who are the best at what they do, and who like to have fun doing it; we don't just break through. We break new ground.

As the Marketing Manager you will serve as the primary storyteller and content creator for Precision's brand. We're looking for someone passionate about content-first strategies, the agency industry, and go-to-market plans for new products.

Reporting directly to the Business Development and Marketing Director and working closely with the Business Development Manager and the Chief Growth Officer, you will drive Precision's editorial agenda including social platforms, newsletters, awards, thought leadership, research reports, events and more to ensure Precision is seen as an agency powerhouse in DC, NYC, and future geographic expansions. In this role, you'll partner with senior leaders and subject matter experts to shape how our expertise shows up in the market - turning complex data and insights into compelling stories that build our brand, support new business development, and position our internal innovation as a differentiator. This role will contribute big, creative ideas on how to grow the agency's brand and notoriety - from events to major announcements to expansions into new markets.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Own the strategy, content, and production of the agency's thought leadership content including the monthly newsletter, senior staff blog posts, and LinkedIn posts for Partners.
  • Work with the Business Development and Marketing Director to improve and maintain Precision's brand collateral including case studies, service descriptions, "about us" language, and proprietary products.
  • Work on major staff announcements, market expansion plans, and big event activations that further the agency's brand.
  • Design and manage Precision's earned media plan - pitching experts to reporters on timely topics and placing stories about the agency in industry publications and beyond.
  • Lead the agency's social media presence - owning the content calendar, directing creative development with the design team, and analyzing performance to refine strategy. Lead internal content initiatives - including Precision Picks, Client Spotlights, and emerging series - from concept through execution
  • Oversee and optimize the agency's contact database in Mailchimp, establishing best practices for list hygiene and audience segmentation
  • Bring a behind-the-scenes look at Precision to life by creatively showcasing our fellowship program, volunteer commitments, mentorship program, internal awards, and other culture moments.
  • Manage and evolve the company website, ensuring content accuracy and identifying opportunities to improve storytelling across case studies, news, and insights
  • Support competitive research initiatives to directly shape go-to-market strategy and positioning
  • Help manage agency event production from inception to planning and end-to-end logistics

What We Are Looking For:

  • 4+ years of experience in a marketing role either in-house or at an agency. Internship experience considered.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience writing for executive audiences
  • A collaborative leader who can manage relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the agency
  • Proficiency in Mailchimp, WordPress, and Canva; experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, social platform insights) a plus
  • A strategic, creative thinker who brings fresh ideas and a point of view on how to differentiate the agency's brand

What We Will Give You:

  • Competitive salaries
  • Annual bonus opportunity
  • Flexible hybrid remote/in office plan
  • Retirement plan with automatic 3% safe-harbor contribution from Precision
  • Healthcare coverage - medical, dental and vision with 90% of costs covered by Precision
  • Paid vacation, sick leave and floating holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • Professional development stipend

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - 105,000

Due to the pandemic, we required all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19. We are currently working in a hybrid model and require staff to work in the office 50% of the working days of the month.

Precision is committed to building a diverse team that will positively and authentically impact the communities we serve. Centering our strategies around the authentic voices and cultures of the communities we are engaging with is paramount to our work - and our work can only be as inclusive as our team is representative. We strongly encourage women, Black, Latino, Hispanic, AAPI, and Indigenous people, LGBTQ+, gender expansive or GNC folks, people of all ages, disabled people, and veterans to apply.
