Marketing Manager, Upstream TEER

Patients with mitral and tricuspid heart valve disease often have complex conditions with limited treatment options. Our Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) business unit is boldly pursuing an innovative portfolio of technologies to address a patient's unmet clinical needs. Beyond raising awareness, our Marketing teams build lasting, trusted relationships with medical professionals and industry stakeholders to ensure patients can receive the treatments they need. In understanding the challenges of open-heart surgery, we partner with surgical teams to deliver modern technologies intended to enhance patients' quality of life and expand their potential treatment opportunities.

Position Summary: The Upstream Marketing Manager, will serve as a strategic marketing leader within the TMTT Upstream Marketing organization, responsible for driving global upstream marketing activities for the PASCAL Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair (TEER) portfolio and future-generation TEER technologies

How you will make an impact: Lead upstream marketing initiatives supporting the global PASCAL TEER portfolio, including Mitral and Tricuspid applications.

  • Partner with Portfolio Leadership to develop long-term growth strategies, portfolio roadmaps, and business cases for future TEER innovations.

  • Evaluate market opportunities, competitive dynamics, evolving clinical evidence, and unmet needs to inform investment decisions.

  • Support lifecycle planning activities for current and next-generation PASCAL technologies.

Customer & Market Insights

  • Drive comprehensive Voice of Customer (VOC) programs with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, heart failure specialists, imagers, and structural heart teams.

  • Identify unmet needs, adoption barriers, and future market requirements across global geographies.

  • Develop deep insights into physician workflows, referral pathways, patient selection, and treatment paradigms.

  • Monitor competitive developments within the TEER market and broader structural heart landscape.

New Product Development

  • Act as the commercial lead on new product development teams supporting next-generation PASCAL and TEER innovation programs.

  • Translate physician and customer insights into product requirements, design inputs, and commercialization recommendations.

  • Partner closely with R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Program Management throughout the product development process.

  • Support development of product concepts, evidence generation strategies, claims planning, and value propositions.

KOL & Innovation Engagement

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with global TEER Key Opinion Leaders and advisory networks.

  • Lead physician engagement activities including advisory boards, innovation workshops, concept evaluations, and usability feedback sessions.

  • Support identification of emerging clinical trends and future innovation opportunities.

Commercial & Clinical Strategy

  • Develop foundational value propositions and strategic positioning for pipeline TEER products.

  • Partner with Clinical and Medical Affairs teams to support evidence-development priorities required for future commercialization.

  • Contribute to indication expansion assessments, market access considerations, and global adoption strategies


Given the collaborative nature of this work, this is an in-person position based full-time in Irvine, CA.

What you will need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years work experience OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria required

  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry preferred

  • Travel : 25%

  • Extensive understanding of broad market research designs, develops market research programs coordinating with the global VOC manager and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of commercial goals behind research

  • Ability to forecast product lines for short-term and long-term accuracy based on market development, sales trends, competition and changing market dynamics

  • Ability to assess and understand market share, pricing, ASPs, competitive dynamics

  • Possess strong clinical knowledge, experience and knowledge of the clinical areas where Edwards' products are used or intended to be used, understand the purchasing process and challenges for product adoption in complex healthcare networks

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $121,000 to $171,000 (highly experienced).
