This person will manage campaign strategy, segmentation, automation, and performance across Mailchimp and HubSpot, continuously testing and iterating to improve open rates, click-through rates, and downstream conversion. They operate with urgency and use email and SMS as a key lever to drive marketplace liquidity and growth.
Responsibilities

    • Develop and optimize lifecycle experiences across website sign-up and conversion experiences, email, SMS, push notifications, in-app messaging, and other marketing channels to activate, retain, incentivize referrals, and increase overall lifetime value
    • Build and optimize automated email, SMS, push, and in-app journeys, including onboarding, activation, referral, retention, and re-engagement
    • Identify friction points across the user journey and develop channel strategies to improve sign-up, activation, conversion, and retention
    • Partner with the Product team to execute activation and retention strategies across the website and app
  • Copywriting & Campaign Execution:
    • Create clear, compelling, and action-oriented email, sms, and push copy tailored to segments of sitters, parents, preschools, and congregations
    • Own the creation and execution of all email campaigns including promotions, lifecycle messaging, and announcements
    • Develop subject lines and preview text that drive high open rates
    • Ensure messaging is concise, engaging, and aligned with brand voice while optimizing for conversion
    • QA, schedule, and deploy campaigns in Mailchimp and HubSpot with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Segmentation & Personalization:
    • Develop and manage audience segmentation strategies based on behavior, geography, and user type
    • Leverage data to personalize messaging and increase relevance and engagement
    • Create targeted campaigns to ensure the right users receive the right message at the right time
  • Testing & Optimization:
    • Own the testing roadmap for email, including A/B testing subject lines, copy, CTAs, send times, and audience segments
    • Continuously test and iterate on messaging and campaign structure to improve performance across lifecycle stages
    • Analyze test results and quickly implement learnings to drive measurable improvements in engagement and conversion
    • Operate with a test-and-learn mindset, constantly identifying new opportunities to improve performance
  • Reporting & Performance Management:
Track and report on email performance including open rates, click-through rates, conversion, and revenue impact
    • Build and maintain regular reporting to measure campaign effectiveness and lifecycle performance
    • Use data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve email strategy and execution
    • Monitor the impact of email on key marketplace metrics including applications per job and repeat bookings
  • Administrative:
    • Build, manage, and maintain email campaigns and workflows in Mailchimp and HubSpot
    • Ensure lists, segments, and automations are clean, accurate, and up to date
