About The Role

The Marketing Generalist supports APCON's marketing operations by executing advertising, branding, tradeshow coordination, press releases, social media activity, and general marketing tasks. This is an individual contributor role that works closely with the web developer and graphic designer and requires accuracy, follow through, and the ability to work in a direct, fast‑paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Execute marketing activities across advertising, branding, events, and digital channels
  • Coordinate tradeshow logistics, booth materials, shipping, collateral, and onsite support
  • Draft and distribute press releases and product announcements
  • Support social media planning, posting, and monitoring
  • Maintain marketing calendars, timelines, and project tracking
  • Coordinate with vendors for printing, promotional items, and event materials
  • Ensure brand consistency across all materials and channels

What You Bring

  • Three or more years of marketing experience in a technology or related industry
  • Experience supporting advertising, branding, events, and digital marketing
  • Strong writing skills for press releases and marketing content
  • Ability to work on‑site in Plano, Texas
  • Valid driver license and ability to travel up to 10 percent
  • Ability to work in a direct, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Comfortable asking clarifying questions and acknowledging when additional information is needed
  • Ability to take feedback, adjust quickly, and maintain accuracy under pressure
