The Vice President, Human Resources - Global Product Supply and R&D is a strategic HR executive and member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT), reporting directly to the CHRO. This role serves as the primary HR partner to executive leaders across Global Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Research & Development within a complex, highly regulated life sciences organization.
The VP, HR shapes and executes an integrated global people strategy that enables operational excellence, regulatory rigor, scientific innovation, and sustainable growth. This leader oversees a team of seasoned HR professionals and partners closely with Centers of Excellence (COE) to deliver enterprise-wide talent, leadership, and workforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
  • Partner directly with the Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain and Operations Officer and Executive Vice President of Research & Development and Chief Medical Officer and their leadership teams to align people strategy with business objectives.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into multi-year workforce, leadership, and organizational plans.
  • Serve as an active member of the HRLT, contributing to enterprise-wide HR priorities and initiatives.
  • Provide executive coaching and counsel to senior leaders on organizational effectiveness, development, talent acquisition, workforce planning, organization design and transformation.

Workforce Strategy & Capability Building
  • Lead global workforce planning across manufacturing networks, supply chain operations, quality organizations, and R&D functions.
  • Develop long-term strategies addressing automation, digital transformation, regulatory evolution, and pipeline growth.
  • Partner with Talent COE to build critical leadership, operations, technical and scientific capabilities (e.g., biologics manufacturing, regulatory science, AI-enabled R&D).
  • Ensure robust location and capacity planning aligned with global expansion and product lifecycle strategy.
  • Execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to address and fulfill the organization's staffing and resource requirements.

Leadership & Succession
  • Own succession planning and talent reviews for critical global roles.
  • Strengthen diverse leadership pipelines across operations and R&D.
  • Drive leadership assessment, development, and executive readiness planning.
  • Ensure board-ready talent insights for enterprise leadership discussions.
  • Advise and coach organizational leaders on key human resources priorities and emerging people needs

Organizational Effectiveness & Transformation
  • Lead organizational design and operating model evolution to enable agility and compliance.
  • Support major transformation initiatives such as:
  • Global manufacturing network optimization
  • Digital supply chain initiatives
  • Quality system modernization
  • R&D talent development and optimal organization structure design
  • Guide large-scale change management efforts across global sites.

Culture, Engagement & Compliance
  • Foster a culture of quality, teamwork, operations excellence, innovation, and financial excellence to advance Bausch + Lomb's goal of being the best eye health company.
  • Reinforce strong ethical standards and regulatory compliance (GxP environments).
  • Partner with HR leaders and Legal/Compliance to mitigate workforce and labor risks.
  • Oversee complex global employee relations, including unionized manufacturing environments where applicable.

HR Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop a global team of senior HR leaders supporting sites and functions.
  • Drive capability building within the HRBP team, including business acumen, analytics, and strategic consulting skills.
  • Ensure effective collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, Total Rewards & HR Operations).
  • Model enterprise mindset and high-performance leadership.

Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree preferred, in human resources or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including global senior executive-level partnership.
  • Significant experience supporting global manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and/or R&D organizations.
  • Experience within a regulated life sciences environment (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device).
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale organizational transformation.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed HR teams.

This position may be available in the following location(s): Bridgewater, NJ - hybrid

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $275,000 and $325,000. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. They may also be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, disability and life insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, a tuition reimbursement program (select degrees), company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive sick time, floating holidays and paid vacation.
