Summary/Objective

The Marketing Project Specialist drives the execution of marketing initiatives, ensuring projects move forward efficiently and goals are met. By partnering with stakeholders to gather project goals, this role translates priorities into clear plans, timelines, and actions. The Marketing Project Specialist drives day-to-day execution, maintains momentum across teams, and ensures accountability to project deadlines and deliverables. This role proactively identifies risks, addresses blockers, and supports processes that support smooth collaboration and handoffs between teams.

Essential Functions

  • Own end-to-end execution and drive completion of assigned marketing projects from initiation through completion
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and align on project goals and execution requirements and realign expectations proactively when scope, timelines, or priorities shift
  • Translate project goals into clear plans, timelines, milestones, and actionable tasks
  • Drive day-to-day project execution, ensuring teams remain on track and work progresses as planned
  • Actively monitor progress, follow up on open items, and address delays or blockers to maintain momentum
  • Maintain accountability for project deliverables and deadlines across cross-functional teams, ensuring clear ownership and follow-through.
  • Oversee project timelines, milestones, and dependencies to ensure successful execution
  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, or misalignment and take ownership of driving resolution
  • Support teams in hitting project goals by setting next steps and reinforcing execution expectations, ensuring clarity on owners and action items.
  • Manage and maintain project calendars, schedules, and key deadlines
  • Provide clear, consistent project updates and execution status to internal stakeholders
  • Communicate critical project information,  including risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Collaborate with other project specialists and administrative staff to ensure operational efficiency and alignment
  • Adjust plans as needed to maintain momentum, ensuring teams retain clarity on priorities and next steps through changes; suggesting process improvement as needed to ensure smooth handoffs between teams
  • Capture learnings from completed projects and make them available to stakeholders and the broader team to improve future execution

Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.

Physical demands - Will need to be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time. 

Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years experience coordinating and managing projects in the creative content and marketing industry.

Preferred education and experience

  • Master’s degree
  • 3+ years marketing coordinator experience. 
  • Familiarity with Angel, the Angel Guild, and our body of work (films, series, and other projects). 

Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
