Job description

Our marketing and merchandising teams play a critical role in bringing Epson's products and brand experience to life across retail, digital, and customer touchpoints.
The Sr. Marcomm Specialist is responsible for assisting in development of the strategy, then managing and executing marketing communications collateral, merchandising initiatives, and creative projects that support large-scale product portfolios and key retail accounts. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, agencies, vendors, and retail partners to develop impactful customer-facing materials that ensure a consistent and compelling brand experience across multiple channels.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management and creative collaboration skills with an understanding of retail merchandising, digital content, and marketing communications execution. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, creative problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This position will be based out of Epson America's headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
What you will be doing:
  • Merchandising Project and Program Management
  • Manages large-scale merchandising projects outside of traditional launch activities.
  • Assists the manager of merchandising in developing merchandising strategies.
  • Initiates, defines, and manages all launch collateral projects for assigned product lines
  • Writes merchandising briefs.
  • Develops packaging content and design, sales and launch collateral, photography, and web content.
  • Collaborates with Product Management, Sales Operations, Finance, Service, and Legal to ensure accuracy of copy, specifications, legal marks, etc. for all materials produced.
  • Develops key schedules and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Provides direction and leadership to vendors, agencies, and internal creative staff to ensure appropriate creative development, execution, production, and timely delivery of all materials.
  • Develops point of sale displays (e.g., stickers, signage, flipbooks, custom displays, end caps, etc).
  • Responsible for custom projects for specific reseller requirements.
  • Manages key merchandising materials and point of purchase materials for assigned major retail accounts.
  • Responsible for vendor management, contract negotiations, RFPs, project timelines, review schedules, and obtaining budget and content approvals
  • Processes invoices/estimates and ensures accuracy and completeness.
  • Participates in the development of annual budget forecasts for product lines.
  • Participates in updating and reconciling monthly budget reports for assigned product lines.
  • Maintains support materials for existing products including line guides and field merchandising content.

Brand Management
  • Ensures materials uphold brand standards and present a consistent brand image in line with corporate goals.

Customer Relationship Management
  • Serves as the merchandising expert for the sales force on key retail accounts for assigned product lines.
  • Meets with key retail accounts to understand reseller requirements for POS concepts.

What You Will Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, merchandising, retail marketing, creative project management, or related roles
  • Experience managing large-scale marketing collateral, merchandising initiatives, and cross-functional creative projects
  • Retail merchandising and point-of-sale (POS) experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting digital marketing initiatives, including Amazon gallery images, A+ content, and digital campaign assets, is a plus
  • Ability to review and provide feedback on creative concepts, layouts, packaging, and brand materials within a creative or agency environment
  • Strong understanding of branding, visual consistency, and customer-facing marketing communications
  • Experience collaborating with internal creative teams, agencies, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to manage timelines and deliverables
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing packaging content, launch collateral, web content, or merchandising materials preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners
  • Experience working with budget tracking, vendor coordination, estimates, and invoice management preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management tools such as Wrike is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $93,854 and $117,318. . Please note that this position's salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
