Job description

Aon is looking for a Strategic Communication Director - Hybrid/In Person (Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles), or Virtual
As part of our Strategic Communication team within Aon's Human Capital business, the consultant in this role will work with clients to develop effective high-impact, creative content and support communication and change strategies in the areas of total rewards (compensation, benefits, and more), talent programs, and corporate change. This role can be on-site, virtual or hybrid, and will require travel.

What your days will look like
  • Supporting client engagements and coaching project teams and external partners to develop and deliver innovative change communication strategies and solutions
  • Creating compelling and technically accurate content for digital, video, print, and in-person delivery
  • Effectively managing multiple small- to large-scale client projects at once, across a variety of topics, working both independently and collaborating with clients and Aon teams
  • Leading and contributing to new business pursuits, including helping develop proposals and articulating Aon's point of view to prospective clients
  • Collaborating with colleagues, our AI resources, and vendor partners to create and deliver best-in-class, effective communication deliverables and campaigns to reach our clients' employees, drive new behaviors, and achieve better outcomes
  • Working with our team to help shape communication points of view and solutions and tracking communication trends
  • Building working relationships with Aon colleagues to integrate our communication expertise into Aon's broader Human Capital offerings

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 10-15 years of experience in HR and total rewards communication consulting or internal corporate communication
  • Strategic change communication experience
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills and demonstrated proficiency in developing content for print and digital media, with subject matter expertise in compensation and incentives, performance management, total rewards, and other benefits programs
  • Proficiency in using AI to enhance communication strategies and deliverables while maintaining strategic thinking, creativity, accuracy, client brand, and human voice
  • Project leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Behavior change acumen
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented, yet highly virtual environment

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $118,000 - $150,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
