What You'll Be Doing: Manage the day-to-day merchandising of a specific commodity market or markets. Execute merchandising strategies to grow market share and optimize profitability within the feed ingredient commodity sector. Deploy risk capital within approved limits, adhering to Value-at-Risk (VAR) and position limits. Execute risk management strategies to protect the business from market volatility. Ensure trading decisions align with corporate risk appetite and governance standards. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and economic indicators to inform strategic decisions. Align individual goals with corporate objectives, focusing on growth, sustainability, and operational excellence. Manage the financial performance of their activity, ensuring profitability and budget adherence. Analyze P&L statements, identifying areas for cost optimization and revenue growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements to secure competitive advantages. Skills/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in commodity merchandising, with a focus on feed ingredients. Proven experience managing a P&L and driving profitability. Demonstrated ability to manage trading positions within VAR and position limits, with strong understanding of risk capital deployment. Strong knowledge of commodity markets, trading strategies, and risk management practices. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
