The Senior Market Research Coordinator is an experienced individual contributor within the Market Research Center of Excellence supporting the Americas division. This role sits between the Market Research Coordinator and the Market Research Manager and is designed for someone who has developed strong executional market research skills and is ready to take on greater ownership, autonomy, and mentorship responsibilities.
The Senior Market Research Coordinator partners closely with consultants and market research managers to execute high-quality qualitative and quantitative research, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to the continuous improvement of market research processes. This role reports to the Director of Market Research and works day-to-day with Market Research Managers.

How you will create an impact:
  • Request for Proposals & Study Execution (60-70%)
    • Partner with consultants to define research objectives, scope, and specifications for qualitative and quantitative studies (e.g., surveys, expert interviews).
    • Independently review, refine, and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for market research vendors.
    • Lead screener review and/or design in the absence of a formalized screener on all qualitative and quantitative survey requests
    • Lead vendor bid solicitation, comparison, and recommendations for routine and moderately complex studies.
    • Advise teams on appropriate methodologies, recruitment approaches, feasibility, timelines, and cost considerations.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors during fieldwork for assigned projects.
  • Vendor Relationship Management (15-20%)
    • Manage ongoing relationships with a subset of preferred market research vendors and expert networks.
    • Support pricing negotiations in partnership with Market Research Managers.
    • Proactively identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to meet evolving project needs.
    • Troubleshoot fielding, recruitment, and quota issues, escalating complex challenges as needed.
    • Maintain and enhance the vendor database and internal feedback mechanisms.
  • Quality, Compliance & Best Practices (10-15%)
    • Ensure adherence to Simon-Kucher global data compliance policies and industry market research standards
    • Apply and reinforce best practices in study setup, vendor management, and documentation.
    • Review project materials (e.g., screeners, questionnaires, discussion guides) for clarity, bias minimization, and feasibility, in collaboration with Market Research Managers.
  • Training, Mentorship & Knowledge Building (5-10%)
    • Contribute to internal training materials, templates, and best-practice documentation.
    • Support onboarding and skill development of new team members.
    • Participate in initiatives to mature and scale the Market Research Center of Excellence.

About You:
  • Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • 3-5 years of relevant experience in market research, vendor management, or related roles.
    • Hands-on experience supporting qualitative and quantitative market research projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple studies simultaneously with increasing autonomy.
    • Strong organizational, project coordination, and prioritization skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with consultants and external vendors.
    • High attention to detail and comfort working with spreadsheets and project tracking tools.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with scoping audiences for market research (sales or operations role)
    • Familiarity with market research compliance guidelines and data privacy requirements.
    • Experience mentoring or training junior team members.
    • Exposure to survey platforms or research tools is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $80,000-$95,000/year. Compensation may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 13 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
