As one of the Southeasts premier boat dealerships, we take pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences from helping families find their dream boats to keeping them running safely and smoothly. Were looking for a skilled and motivated Marine Technician to join our team in Jackson, MS, and help us continue our tradition of excellence.
Position Summary
The Marine Technician delivers an exceptional service experience for all customers by performing high-quality maintenance and repair work at a fair price, while adhering to customer time frames. This position plays a key role in ensuring that every boat leaving our shop is lake-ready and performing at its best.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Diagnose, service, and repair inboards, I/Os, and outboards both in the shop and on the water
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, winterizations, and summerizations
  • Complete repairs and installations such as:
    • Fuel system cleaning
    • Engine and outdrive R&R
    • Custom stereo, jack plates, and tower installations
  • Lake test boats to verify functionality, diagnose issues, and confirm successful repairs
  • Communicate effectively with the Service Coordinator regarding diagnostics, parts needs, and repair progress
  • Maintain accurate time and service records
  • Keep work area and tools clean, organized, and in proper working condition
  • Assist with boat show preparation and move-in as needed
  • Attend manufacturer and service training annually to maintain certifications
Experience and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
  • Boating experience and a valid boaters license are preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in marine or automotive service preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a customer-first attitude.
