Job Description

Marine Craft, LLC is seeking a full-time marine technician to join our staff as the lead electrical integrator. Applicants must be safety oriented and work well in a team environment. The normal work week will be from 8:00 am-4:30 pm with a half hour lunch from 12:00-12:30 pm. Essential duties and responsibilities vary daily. Some of the daily duties will include but are not limited to; general vessel repair, electrical upgrades, engine repair, facility cleaning and maintenance, making supply runs, assisting with docking and tying up boats, and other tasks as required. Some offsite work will be required.

Previous experience is required. We are happy to mentor, educate, and train willing and able applicants with follow on training. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to ascend and descend a ladder. Must be able to work on boats without getting seasick. Must be comfortable working outside or in confined spaces. Must supply basic marine repair tools. Must have experience working on gasoline engines, diesel engines, marine electrical and electronics, fiberglass, carpentry, marine plumbing, and LPG systems. This position encompasses a lot of specialties and mastery electrical isย required, but knowledge of and experience with each is required.

Marine Craft is located on the well protected Broad Creek which just a five mile sail from the ICW and a nine mile drive to Oriental, the sailing capital of North Carolina. Our location gives us a quiet and safe harbor that is still close to some great fishing. It's also a perfect stepping off point for adventures into the Atlantic Ocean. We work with a high end vessel manufacturer as a warranty center as well as service a fleet of sailing catamarans.
A well marked and maintained channel leads directly to Marine Craft. We have slips for up to 80' LOA and depths of up to 8' dockside. There are 1.5 acres of dry storage space for rent during the off season.
