Job description

Amee Bay, LLC a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking Marine Diesel Engine Technician to join our group in San Diego, CA.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop, review and revise diesel engine logistics documentation and maintenance standards.
  • Observe and analyze diesel engine operating performance against established guidelines.
  • Conduct diesel engine data analysis/trending/reporting, logistics development, project planning, training support, test plan and procedure development and meeting/presentation support.
  • Communicate with ships force personnel to identify and correct potential diesel engine issues.
  • Assist ships force personnel in preparation for major engineering evolutions and inspections.
  • Report on findings and provide documentation of repair and maintenance activities.
  • Foster positive work relationships with all stakeholders - clients, co-workers, suppliers, etc. to meet contractual obligations.
  • Assist other team members with their responsibilities based on volume of work, established priorities and leadership direction.
  • Review diesel engine program work packages and specifications.
  • Conduct ship visits (inspections and data collection).
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting support of diesel propulsion and generation systems.
  • Ensure ongoing service to clients by raising service level concerns and opportunities to appropriate leadership personnel.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested.

Position Requirements:
  • US Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Base Access and an Active Secret Security Clearance; Candidates with an Active Secret Security clearance are preferred.
  • Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, OR
    • equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience may be substituted for education.
  • U.S. Navy shipboard experience or DoD Maritime contractor with technician skills and training (7+ years) preferred.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, maintenance and repair planning, overhaul of Navy marine diesel engines and experience utilizing various NAVSEA databases.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repair of Navy marine diesel engine control systems preferred.
  • Relevant knowledge of current Navy maintenance requirements and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and also operate independently with little to no oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Physical Demands and Expectations:
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, standing and prolonged sitting.
