About Us:

Parker Boatworks is a full service marine center mainly servicing and repairing Yamaha Outboard vessels. We are authorized as a service, warranty, and sales center for Yamaha, Dometic, Optimus, and other boat lines and accessories.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and Yamaha Certified Marine Technician to join our growing service department. If you have a passion for marine engines, take pride in quality workmanship, and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain Yamaha outboard engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and warranty repairs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
  • Complete service work accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed service records and repair documentation.
  • Ensure all work meets Yamaha factory standards.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Communicate repair recommendations clearly with service advisors.

Qualifications

  • Experience servicing Yamaha or other outboard engines.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience serving Yamaha or other outboard engines.
  • Current Yamaha Certified Technician certification.
  • Additional marine industry certifications.
  • Experience with rigging, electronics installation, and boat systems.
  • Knowledge of other outboard brands is a plus.
  • Forklift and trailer handling experience.
