JOB TITLE: Aviation Maintenance - Certified Teacher

DEPARTMENT: Aerospace and Transportation
GRADE/STEP: Exempt, C-0-59 - M/S, Steps 1-10
SALARY COMPENSATION PACKAGE: $68,689.00 - $84,715.00 Annually
WORK PERIOD: 2026-2027 School Year - Monday-Friday, 8:20 AM-4:15 PM (10 mo.) + as needed
Job Objective: Performs responsible instructional level duties under limited supervision to teach the classes/labs assigned leading to placement of students on jobs; prepares task analysis; advises students; grades reports, tests, and progress; and advises the supervisor concerning textbooks, special equipment, supplies, or other needs. Attends meetings and participates in overall quality of program and school. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity, and independent judgment due to the complexity of the job.
Qualifications
Education: Degree preferred; High School diploma acceptable with requirement to achieve bachelor's degree.
Credentials: Must qualify for Trade and Industrial Education certification through the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education
FAA certification Aviation Maintenance Technician with Airframe and Powerplant authorization
Valid Oklahoma driver's license and acceptable driving record as appropriate
Additional certifications may be required for special program areas
Experience: At least two years successful occupational experience in the skill area to be taught, said skill to have been the major assignment in the experience. Preferred teaching experience and/or current industry experience in the areas of Aviation Maintenance.
