Manufacturing Scientist Location: Springdale AR
About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Manufacturing Scientist to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, packaging, and labeling of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) test devices and test kits. You will also support manufacturing operations through cleaning, sanitization, process troubleshooting, and equipment validation activities.
This position is ideal for candidates with a scientific background who enjoy working in a regulated manufacturing environment and contributing to the production of high-quality diagnostic products.
Manufacturing Scientist Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
Manufacturing Scientist Rate of Pay: $45,000-$50,000 salary
Manufacturing Scientist Key Responsibilities - Manufacture products according to approved work instructions and procedures.
- Complete all required production documentation accurately and on time.
- Perform assembly, packaging, and labeling of diagnostic test devices and kits.
- Clean and sanitize manufacturing areas, equipment, and supplies.
- Become qualified to independently set up and operate assigned manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues and recommend solutions.
- Collect samples as required for Quality Control inspection and approval.
- Assist with validation of new equipment and revalidation of existing equipment and processes.
- Report equipment, material, or process issues to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain training records and complete all required training within scheduled timelines.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Manufacturing Scientist Qualifications / Required: - Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or another science-related field.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred: - Previous experience in manufacturing, biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or a regulated environment.
- Experience with GMP, ISO, or quality system requirements.
- Familiarity with equipment validation and process improvement activities.
