Manufacturing Project Engineer II (MIT)


The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Integration and Transformation (MIT) team is designing and implementing manufacturing processes and equipment across the Andersen Enterprise on medium to large scale projects. Candidates for this position should possess a strong technical background with the desire to be a change agent and have the energy and passion to improve both our production and functional processes while leading with integrity.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

-Support project teams on the successful commercialization and start-up of new equipment and processes.

-Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements

-Interface with design, product engineering, supply chain, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability and process capability of new products or product extensions.

-Provide informed recommendations regarding the viability of developed design solutions that relate to new or current processes.

-Participate/facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events.

-Demonstrate strong knowledge of DMAIC tools: Process mapping, process capability, C&E Matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, Control Plans.

-Develop specifications to procure production equipment and/or complete production lines.

-Partner with the Safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements.

-Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability.

-Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes.

-Work independently within areas of responsibility on small projects or in coordination with others over portions of larger projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-4-year degree in Engineering or Technology required

-Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience preferred with mechanical aptitude

-Equipment procurement and capital project experience required

-Project management skills

-Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

-Knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability

-Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both our internal and external customers

-Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups

-Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor)


*This is a hybrid role with approximately 25% travel.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
