Job description

Position Summary: Production Manager

 We are seeking a proven Production Manager to lead our Grand Rapids sheet plant. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading a team committed to quality and efficiency. The right leader will balance hands-on operational oversight with strategic vision to position the plant for long-term growth.

 Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day plant operations including production, scheduling, and maintenance

• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and reduce

  costs

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies and quality standards

• Deliver on key performance metrics tied to quality, uptime, cost control, and profitability

• Supervise, train, and evaluate plant staff; foster a culture of accountability and teamwork

• Partner with sales and executive leadership to align production with customer demand

• Oversee equipment maintenance and facility maintenance

Qualifications:

• Corrugated experience preferred or equivalent manufacturing experience

• Strong knowledge of sheet plant equipment, production flow, and industry standards

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

• 7+ years in corrugated manufacturing, including 3+ years in a leadership role

• Excellent project management skills

• Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety

• Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
