Job Description Summary
Executes the receiving, storing, using, staging and distribution of materials required for assembly of product. Responsibilities may also include manufacturing, assembly, basic testing, training and packaging and shipping of products.

  • Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or forklifts, magnet movers or overhead crane
  • Picks parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity
  • Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments Quantifies and verifies cycle count
  • Process material against purchase orders and work orders using electronic material management system
  • Coordinate with on-site and/or offsite warehousing facilities for parts replenishment and material for storage
  • Work with appropriate logistics and production personnel to resolve/prevent part shortages
  • Perform cycle audits and physical inventory per schedule or as needed
  • Help reconcile inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to Supervisor
  • Follows work procedures and schematics including complex instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Performs manufacturing/assembly operations and various tasks following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets
  • Assists in the writing and/or developing of work procedures
  • Works independently and completes basic troubleshooting
  • Maintains daily production output
  • Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures
  • Participates in quality control inspections when required works with team leaders, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
  • Ability to build rapport within the immediate team and with the broader organization
  • Maintain partnerships in job function and with assembly, materials, logistics, and test teams across the manufacturing operations and across all shifts
  • Performing more advanced and complex assembly and testing when required
  • May train other team members when required
  • Comply with EHS regulations and policies
  • Other duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams
Quality Specific Goals
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
  • Training: Aware of and comply with GEHC training requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specification.
  • Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices, as associated with this job type/position
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent and 2 or more years of storing and material handling or related experience
  • Willingness to work off-shifts and overtime as needed
  • Willingness to work at an off-site warehouse location if needed
  • Proficient in basic mathematics
  • Proficient with basic hand tools such as but not limited to, saw, screwdriver, wrench, ratchets
  • Basic computer skills and software tools to include, but not limited to, Windows, Outlook &
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to communicate, receive and understand instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Team player who is accountable for team's success delivering business targets and takes responsibility for decisions and outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability for detail and quality-minded work habits
  • Ability to communicate well and work with others
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control
  • Knowledge of computerized material flow methods
  • High degree of comfort using electronic manufacturing/production systems and tools such as eANDON, eDHR, Trello
  • Willingness to learn new skills and perform a variety of tasks and roles within the manufacturing process and teach and coach others
  • Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales or Fork truck license (PIT Training)
  • Prior experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment
