Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is looking for a

Machine Press Operator

As aPress Operatoryou will perform complete setup and operation of press machines to manufacture inserts according to specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all necessary duties to set up, operate, and conduct routine preventative maintenance on presses.
  • Responsibilities include preparing orders, powder, and tooling, along with brushing inserts as needed to support the production process.
  • Perform and record all work in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide management with recommendations for process improvements as they are identified.
  • Consistently meet established quality, production, and delivery targets.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE:

  • Wear all required PPE and strictly adhere to company safety rules.
  • Always support and promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, charging and sintering area to reduce cobalt exposure.

Ensure all work follows:

  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
  • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
  • ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety)

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years' experience working in a mechanical or industrial environment preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong Work Ethics.
  • Understanding workflow impact.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety standards.

SHIFT:

2nd, 4:00PM to 2:15AM (4 days, 10-hour shift) (Some overtime may be required)

PAY CLASSIFICATION:

  • W3 ($19.00 - $35.68)
