Job description

Job Summary:
Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods to meet or exceed customer needs by utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
  • Applies sound engineering judgment to problems, which may include conflicting design objectives.
  • Recommends manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.
  • Active participant in a project development team from concept to production.
  • Supports control plan development including inspection methodology, prevention controls, detection controls, reaction plans, inspection frequency rationale, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Assists in project tracking and metric development to monitor ongoing performance.
  • May train personnel in equipment usage and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • 4 year Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience:
  • 3-5 years in Manufacturing Engineering or related field
