You will provide a full range of manufacturing support within the Duct Strip area at our Urbana, OH facility. Duties include but are not limited to: machine set-up and operation, troubleshooting and adjusting equipment, completing quality and safety inspections, and collaborating with team members throughout the facility.
Overtime: May be required depending on machine / area, volunteer opportunities, cross training opportunities.
How you'll make an impact...
  • Set up machine(s) per customer/order specification (make-to-order products)
  • Troubleshoot and adjust machine controls and components
  • Read and apply job specifications
  • Communicate with other departments to request raw materials and supplies to eliminate downtime
  • Document production data and complete required quality and safety inspections
  • Monitor machine operation to detect and correct malfunctions
  • Maintain inventory control, including SAP transactions
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and complete routine equipment maintenance
  • Note: Other duties may be required

What do you bring...
  • High School Diploma or GED required, manufacturing experience preferred
  • Comprehend and apply basic reading, arithmetic and geometry (testing required)
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper and micrometer (testing required)
  • Physical requirements - lift and manipulate unwieldy parts weighing between 50 - 100 lbs, depending on machine and work in a non climate controlled environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with little supervision in a team environment
  • Ability to train others and willingness to cross train
