Job description

Maintenance Manager
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a motivated and hands-on Maintenance Manager for a company based in Cookeville, TN. In this role, you will oversee the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all production equipment and infrastructure. You will play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence, fostering a strong safety culture, and developing a high-performing maintenance team.

Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.

Maintenance Manager Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure correct final preparation and maintenance of the plant infrastructure, installations and production equipment, on budget. Monitor and increase effectiveness of production equipment.
  • Manage and report maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, impact on OEE)
  • Oversee all preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Ensure OHSE Procedures are implemented and maintained in all Maintenance activities.
  • Define and execute maintenance strategies aligned with plant performance goals and automotive industry standards.
  • Establish the work schedule for the Maintenance Team depending on the plant needs and resources.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and inspection systems.
  • Ensure proper management of spare parts inventory, balancing cost control with operational readiness.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and equipment history records.
  • Lead equipment upgrades, modifications, and capital improvement projects.
  • Manage third-party contractors, ensuring work quality, safety compliance, and cost efficiency.
Maintenance Manager Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
