The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the New Project Launch Engineers in supporting new product introduction, process optimization, and continuous improvement across production and quality operations. This role oversees capital projects, develops technical standards, and manages a team of engineers and technicians to ensure alignment with customer requirements, operational excellence, and profitability goals. Client Details My client supports a manufacturing environment using advanced, high‑precision machining systems for producing complex metal components with extremely tight tolerances. The equipment combines automated, CNC‑controlled processes and specialized material‑removal techniques commonly used in medical device, electronics, aerospace, and other precision industries. The position involves working closely with process development, tooling, and quality teams to ensure reliable, repeatable, and high‑accuracy production. Description · Leads the New Project Launch Engineering department to meet customer demand and achieve profit margin goals. · Oversees preparation and implementation of product launches, specification changes, and process changes. · Defines and recommends purchase of capital equipment; prepares investment budgets and payback analyses. · Prepares and manages implementation plans for new part projects. · Reviews, approves, and creates manufacturing work instructions. · Creates or updates routings in the ERP system. · Conducts time studies and labor analyses to improve productivity and efficiency. · Defines quality plans in collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams. · Analyzes technical requirements and specifications against internal process capabilities. · Participates in RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes to ensure technical feasibility. · Drives lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Profile 5+ Years of Engineering management experience in a machining enviornment Project Management Experience Mills and Lathes Proficiency in the use of CAD/CAM, word processing, and spreadsheet software The ability to work efficiently with others or independently as required Integrity and conscientiousness in all work-related matters Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively before customers and/or employees of the organization Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000 USD.
