My client is seeking a Tool Engineer/CNC Programmer to support the design, development, and manufacture of tooling used in a high-volume precision manufacturing environment. This role combines CNC programming, tooling design, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration, offering an opportunity to make a direct impact on production performance, quality, and new product development. Client Details My client is a respected manufacturer of highly engineered precision components serving leading customers in the automotive and industrial sectors. The organization has a strong reputation for quality, operational excellence, and continuous investment in advanced manufacturing technologies. Description The Tool Engineer/CNC Programmer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for: Develop and maintain CNC programs for machining operations including milling, EDM, jig grinding, and other tooling-related processes. Design production tooling, gages, fixtures, and machine adaptations using CAD software. Utilize CAD and CAM systems to create tooling designs, technical drawings, and manufacturing programs. Support prototype and production tooling projects from concept through implementation. Create and maintain tooling inspection reports, prototype routings, and control plans. Troubleshoot tooling, machining, and manufacturing process issues to improve quality and productivity. Partner with engineering and operations teams to develop new tooling solutions and improve existing designs. Manage engineering drawings and documentation within a controlled manufacturing environment. Support the development of tooling standards and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and increase efficiency. Program, operate, and maintain advanced manufacturing technologies, including 3D printing equipment when applicable. Apply today for immediate consideration! Profile Engineering degree, Engineering Technology degree, Associate's degree, or equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience. Experience in CNC programming, tool design, machining, or manufacturing engineering environments. Strong understanding of GD&T and interpretation of technical drawings. Experience with CAD software and 3D modeling tools. CAM programming experience preferred. Working knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming. Strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Familiarity with SPC and manufacturing process controls is beneficial.
