Caribou, ME - Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00AM - 4:30PM or Monday - Thursday 4:00PM - 2:00AM
Payrate: Depending on experience - $18.00-$20.00/hr. + $2.00 shift differential
Job Description:
Now seeking a dependable and adaptable Production Associate to join a manufacturing operation in Caribou. This is a great opportunity for an individual who enjoys hands-on work, learning new processes, and supporting multiple areas of a production facility.
The Production Associate will move between different workstations and departments as needed to help maintain production flow and meet quality standards. This position may involve assembly, packaging, machine operation, material handling, quality inspections, and other production support responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform assembly, packaging, machine operation, material handling, and quality inspection duties as assigned.
  • Rotate between production workstations and departments to fill staffing needs and support high-volume production periods.
  • Learn and follow multiple manufacturing processes and equipment procedures.
  • Complete required process training and receive approval from the appropriate lead or manager before working independently.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the production process to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
  • Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools to verify product quality and dimensions.
  • Assist with equipment setup, production changeovers, and troubleshooting minor machine issues.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records using MOM, UniPoint, and other required systems.
  • Follow all Quality Management System protocols and company procedures.
  • Follow all safety requirements and properly use required personal protective equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Notify management of equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Production Manager or senior management team.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, machine operation, or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate or adjust production machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and written work instructions.
  • Ability to use micrometers and calipers.
  • Willingness to learn and follow Quality Management System protocols.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to move and lift materials or components weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to work safely around production machinery and moving equipment.
  • Dependable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to work in multiple departments are required.
  • Background check and drug screen required.
