Job description

Tunnell Companies, LP, a well-established Real Estate Management Company based in Long Neck, Delaware, has been dedicated to the development, construction, and maintenance of multiple resort and full-time residential communities since 1962. We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our Land Sculptors department. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing company with a long-standing reputation for excellence. Responsibilities
  • Assist crew members and supervisors with various tasks related to specific jobs, including demolition, carrying materials, and construction activities.
  • Help with grading and preparing grounds, parking areas, and driveways using motor-graders, dozers, backhoes, and front-end loaders.
  • Continuously monitor the work site and equipment to detect and protect against unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Signal equipment operators to assist with the alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
  • Clean the job site at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored.
  • Assist with cutting, laying, and fitting pipe for water, storm lines, and wastewater systems.
  • Keep accurate records of work time spent on each piece of equipment or vehicle.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and work facilities in a clean and good condition.
  • Operate all vehicles or equipment related to the job.
  • Drive to pick up parts from area suppliers.
  • Inspect assigned machinery and vehicles prior to use each day, including spot-checking fluid levels and checking for damages.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
