Location: Rochester Hills, MI

Shift: 2nd Shift (3pm - 11:30pm)


About the Opportunity


A precision manufacturing company is seeking a skilled OD Grinder / Grinder Hand to support the finishing and refinement of high-precision metal components. This role is ideal for someone with strong manual grinding experience who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship.


Youโ€™ll work hands-on with grinding equipment and precision tools to produce parts that meet tight tolerances and high cosmetic standards in a clean, production-focused environment.


What Youโ€™ll Do


โ— Perform manual grinding, deburring, polishing, and finishing on metal components

โ— Set up and operate grinding equipment including cylindrical, surface, or centerless grinders

โ— Use hand tools such as die grinders, belt sanders, and bench grinders

โ— Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and basic GD&T requirements

โ— Inspect parts for surface finish, burrs, and dimensional accuracy

โ— Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges

โ— Dress and maintain grinding wheels for accuracy and consistency

โ— Monitor grinding operations and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed

โ— Maintain tight tolerances and consistent surface finishes

โ— Blend radii, chamfers, and contours to spec

โ— Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area

โ— Document production and follow quality procedures
