Job Description

ProSidian Consulting seeks a Senior Managing Director to lead and support design, development and delivery of client solutions for Management and Operations Consulting Practice. The Senior Managing Director plays an integral role in successfully designing, planning and executing client engagements and building the firm's reputation for quality service. This includes researching, pursuing, and documenting possible business opportunities; supporting and managing our proposal development process; managing client relationships and deliverables; and developing teams while communicating with appropriate stakeholders.ย 

The Senior Managing Director position will develop and execute strategically diversified consulting Business Development. This position will identify solutions to important client challenges/opportunities, produce results for engagement team deliverables and internal firm initiatives, drive change and impact client outcomes, develop and execute quality solution focused client presentations, and enhance relationships between The Firm and the clients in the markets we serve. This position will produce results, drive change and impact client outcomes among Private Companies, Fortune 1,000 Enterprises, and Government Agencies of all sizes. As an executive of the firm you will also provide oversight and management of Professional Consultants to insure consistent, high quality service delivery in a cost effective manner.ย 

In this visible position you will use your skills to participate in all phases of the business development and management process. Reporting directly to the Managing Principal, you will be integral to the development and management of the firm and share revenues with potential equity stake based on future successes for strategic five (5) year goals and objectives. This is the first dedicated Senior Managing Director position at ProSidian Consulting, and thus vital to the company's continued growth and success.

The Senior Managing Director is responsible for business development, client engagement management, thought leadership, market presence, and team-building/leadership of Management Consultants. Business Development:ย 

- Develop a sales strategy that identifies targeted accounts, account planning, consulting service product packaging, proposal development, proposal delivery, and processes for closing the deal.

- Manage the Management and Operations Consulting Practice action plans to grow sales, create new service offerings and offer thought leadership to find solutions to important client challenges.

- Provide leadership to ensure consistent, high quality and cost effective service delivery.

Client Engagement Management:ย 

- Build, develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients at the C-Suite level.

- Technical and Solution Architect for Proposal development, proposal requirements, proposal writing as part of managing our sales process

- Develop and offer services that reflect an understanding of a client's unique business needs and offer client market specific solutions that are measurable.

- Engagements will address a wide range of strategy and business issues that may include strategy sessions, strategic planning, and evaluation strategic client initiatives.

- Create a services mix that demonstrates a high-level of professionalism and a clear understanding of a client's unique business needs.

Thought Leadership:ย 

- Provide thought leadership to deepen and expand the firm's product offerings and client solutions.

- Assist the firm in efforts to strengthen market presence such as bylining articles, speaking at key conferences, and publishing.

- Support and contribute to the development of intellectual capital for the firm. ย 

Personnel Management:ย 

- Responsible for project management oversight, supervision, and leadership and building a team of consultants who deliver quality projects in consulting area.

- Consultants will include a mix of independent contractors as well as employed subject matter experts as business needs dictate.

- Responsible for contributing to employee performance appraisals or annual contract employee reviews.

- Develop, coach and recruit talented consulting team members.

Collaboration and Team Building:

- Assume ownership of projects while simultaneously leading a team.

- Delegate or accept delegation to promote client engagement opportunities and/or client relationships.

- Comfortable reporting and working in a matrix organization.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Master Degree (MBA) or equivalent experience required.

Minimum of seven years of progressive management experience and knowledge and Management And Operations experience is required.

Minimum of three years in consulting experience selling services, supervising services provided, and hands on delivery of services.

Proven track record of consulting sales experience with a minimum annual sales total of up to $4M.

Minimum of seven years of progressive management experience and comprehensive knowledge of strategic client initiatives impacted by Management And Operations is required.

Previous professional level experience with a management consulting firm in a leadership capacity preferred

Creative and innovative with a strong understanding of the business aspects of industries to include but are not limited to Energy, Manufacturing, Chemical, Retail, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Hospitality, Pharmaceuticals, Banking & Financial Services, Transportation, Federal and State Government Agencies
