Are you enthusiastic about hospitality, people, and beautiful places? By working at Yellowstone National Park, you will get all three! As the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions that keep the park running smoothly.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and attractive facility, ensuring guest satisfaction, and overseeing the housekeeping staff's performance. This position involves supervising and training various housekeeping roles, managing shift schedules, and assisting the Housekeeping Manager in daily operations and staff evaluations.
The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: April 2026- October 2026
Pay: $2,056/bi-weekly
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Provide an attractive and clean facility for guest rooms and all public areas, including offices, linen closets, and supply closets, and other areas designated to be maintained by the Lodging Department; ensure they are maintained to the standard as trained.
  • Resolve guest problems skillfully with a willingness and desire to understand a guest's viewpoint and to take necessary steps so that the guest is satisfied when they leave.
  • Ensure all housekeeping employees comply with the correct use of chemicals and equipment as trained.
  • Regulate shift coverage for optimum effectiveness by scheduling staff according to business levels and labor standards.
  • Assist in the training of new employees, especially during the spring opening phase. This will include Room Attendants, Inspectors, Porters, Linen Supply Agents, and Office Assistants.
  • Supervise the Rooms Inspector staff with the Assistant, daily morning meetings, making inspections together, and identifying and providing challenges for those with managerial potential.
  • Assume the Housekeeping Manager's daily duties in their absence.
  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in coaching and evaluating the entire housekeeping staff.
  • Other duties assigned by Housekeeping Manager.

Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Computer programs such as MS Outlook.
  • Knowledge of products used and chemical safety relating to housekeeping.

Physical Requirements include:
  • Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Making beds, bending, kneeling, stretching as needed.
  • Standing for long periods of time and walking up in down stairs as well as outdoors.
  • Pushing or pulling a housekeeping cart up to 75 lbs.
