About the Role

West Elm Kids is seeking an Assistant Manager, Social Media to help shape and grow our social presence across platforms through compelling storytelling, creator partnerships, and culturally relevant content.

This role will be responsible for bringing the West Elm Kids brand to life through social-first content that inspires parents and design-minded families. The role is focused on driving community engagement and brand affinity through strategic content, knowledge of platform dynamics, and data-driven audience insights. We expect someone who is comfortable thinking strategically and executing tactically, ready to wear many hats and jump into the world of West Elm Kids social.

Working closely with key cross functional partners, this individual will help drive awareness, engagement, and consideration for West Elm Kids through innovative social programming and creator collaborations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of West Elm Kids' social media strategy across Instagram, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
  • Create and manage content calendars that align with key business priorities, seasonal campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments relevant to parents and families.
  • Identify, manage, and cultivate relationships with parenting, design, lifestyle, and family-focused creators.
  • Partner with influencers and content creators to develop authentic, engaging content that reflects the West Elm Kids brand aesthetic and values.
  • Monitor social trends, parenting conversations, and emerging platform behaviors to identify opportunities for timely and relevant content.
  • Work with CRM & Paid Social teams to align brand initiatives with paid social strategies, coordinating asset production and campaign launches, and ensuring seamless execution across teams are important duties.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Merchandising, and Brand Marketing teams to ensure social content supports broader business objectives.
  • Analyze performance across social channels and provide actionable insights to optimize content, engagement, and conversion.
  • Support community management efforts, helping foster meaningful connections with parents, caregivers, and customers.
  • Support the creative maintenance of West Elm Kids' digital site experiences, partnering cross-functionally to ensure homepage, campaign, and evergreen content remains fresh, on-brand, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Track competitor activity and industry trends across the children's home, design, and parenting landscape.

Criteria

  • 3-5+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, content formats, and creator ecosystems.
  • Experience working with influencers, content creators, and brand partnerships.
  • Passion for design, interiors, parenting culture, family lifestyle, and children's spaces.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using social reporting and measurement tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance creativity with business objectives and performance goals.
  • This role requires being onsite in the Dumbo office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office

The expected starting pay range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets.
