Job description

Information System Security Officer

The Opportunity:

As an Information System Security Officer (ISSO), you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We're looking for an ISSO like you to apply your experience with assisting in the creation and maintenance of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation, including system security plans, security control assessments, and Plans of Action and Milestones, to support Authorization to Operate decisions. You will review information security requirements for new systems or enhanced functionality on existing systems, and provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

Your talents, perspectives, and efforts will contribute directly to the safeguarding of valuable intelligence systems and data, ensuring positive mission outcomes. Your role will be vital in the development ofoperationplans to support command and control. You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience as an ISSO or Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
  • 2+ years of experience creating andmaintainingA&A documentation, including system security plans, security control assessments, and Plans of Action and Milestones
  • Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and system configuration validation and verification against documented security requirements
  • TS/SCIclearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Security+ or IAT Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) and DCO operations and tools
  • Knowledge of COMSEC Responsible Officer and Secure Voice Responsible Officer duties
  • Knowledge of program security responsibilities, including OPSEC, program protection, personnel security clearances, security training and education, or classification management
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Master'sdegree inCSor a technical field
  • CASP, CISSP, or GSLC Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
