If so, let's talk! We may have the perfect role for you! WFXR in Roanoke, Virginia, is looking for a Digital Strategist to join our team as a Strategic Account Manager.

We serve Roanoke, Lynchburg, the New River Valley and surrounding counties, with digital reach across the world. You'll work alongside our sales team with local businesses to find out what makes them unique and help craft creative plans to share that information using our digital tools.

Job Description for the Digital Sales Executive:

  • Working with the existing team to help grow existing and new digital accounts.
  • Implement strategies to consistently grow digital revenue.
  • Establishes credible relationships with local business community.
  • Prospect, qualify, close, and grow NEW business.
  • Makes sales calls on prospective clients.
  • Work with the sales team to prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients.
  • Continue to learn and implement new strategies and products.
  • Work with sales team and vendors to oversee client campaigns, updating them as needed, and providing feedback to clients on campaign performance.
  • Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media.
  • Work with creative services in the production of client's creative elements for digital advertising campaigns.
  • Responsible for order entry, contracts, follow-up, and collections.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the digital space
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced change-oriented environment
  • Ability to advise sellers and decision makers on digital opportunities and products
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and basic office equipment required.
