ROLE SUMMARY: The Store Operations Lead is responsible for supporting daily retail operations while serving as a floor leader and role model for the sales team. This role ensures exceptional customer service, drives sales performance, and maintains merchandising standards while assisting leadership with training and operational execution. The Lead steps in as the acting supervisor in the absence of management and helps create a high-energy, guest-focused shopping experience reflective of the Rodeo Shop brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as the on-floor manager, guiding Sales Associates and Leads and always ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Provide support to the Store Manager and Sales Associates to drive performance and engagement.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new Sales Associates, reinforcing brand standards and expectations.
  • Step in as the acting manager in the absence of store manager, handling customer concerns and operational needs.
  • Deliver a personalized and engaging shopping experience while resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the team in achieving sales goals by promoting product knowledge, upselling, and strong selling behaviors.
  • Monitor daily sales performance and help motivate the team to meet or exceed targets.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring the store is clean, organized, and aligned with brand presentation.
  • Assist Manager with checking-in inventory, inventory adjustments, damages, and recounts.
  • Ordering supplies for the store.
  • Create and implement cleaning schedules and rotations, keeping the restrooms, storage areas, store floor and merchandise neat, organized and dust-free.
  • Restocking, merchandising, and cycle counts.
  • Ensure accuracy in POS transactions, cash handling, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Support loss prevention efforts and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate daily priorities and updates to the team and provide feedback to leadership on opportunities for improvement.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment while holding team members accountable to performance and service standards.
  • Maintain and support the Rodeo Shop Manager in Social media platforms and post regularly to promote the store.
  • All other duties as assigned.

        ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the retail space, stair case and storage areas for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, lift, carry, and move up to 35 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • May need to climb ladders periodically to clean, store or merchandise higher areas.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position provides day-to-day support to Sales Associates and Leads.
  • Responsible for training support, task delegation, and reinforcing service and operational standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum five (3) years of retail, sales, or hospitality experience, with at least two (1) years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully.
  • Flexible schedule—must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • POS System and Cash Handling Experience.
