Job description

Job Title: Pastry Cook
Location: The Sea Pines Resort - Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Department: Culinary / Food & Beverage
Position Overview
At The Sea Pines Resort, we are committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences that reflect our Forbes Travel Guide-inspired service standards. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a key role in creating refined, high-quality desserts and baked goods that delight our guests and elevate every dining experience.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented culinary professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and presentation, and who thrives in a collaborative, luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all products meet the resort's quality, taste, and presentation expectations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist with daily production planning, including prep lists and inventory awareness
  • Support banquet and special event pastry production as needed
  • Properly store and label all ingredients and finished products
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure seamless service across all outlets
  • Uphold The Sea Pines Resort's commitment to excellence, professionalism, and guest satisfaction

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a pastry cook, baker, or similar role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to follow recipes and production schedules with precision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Culinary school training is a plus, but not required
