Job description

Overview

This is an on site position (Dayton, OH). 

We're looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative Accounting Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day processes that keep our accounting operations running smoothly.

In this role, you'll partner with the Accounting Operations Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure pricing data is accurate, maintain reporting and dashboards, document processes, and help resolve subject matter expert escalations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and making a visible impact in a fast-paced business.

What You'll Do
  • Audit pricing data to ensure it is complete, accurate, and aligned with established business requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and improve reports, trackers, and dashboards that support team performance and operational decision-making.
  • Monitor key metrics, identify trends or potential issues, and communicate meaningful findings to leadership and partner teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for escalated questions and issues, researching root causes and coordinating resolution with the appropriate teams.
  • Document and maintain key accounting operations processes to support consistency, training, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization to gather information, resolve issues, and build strong working relationships.
  • Attend and actively contribute to regularly scheduled team meetings.
  • Provide project and administrative support to the Accounting Operations Manager as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and special projects in support of team and business priorities
Qualifications
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, analytics, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in accounting operations, billing, reporting, data analysis, customer account maintenance, or office operations.
  • Experience working with ERP, billing, pricing, reporting, or customer-information systems.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, freight, or related industries is a plus, but not required.
