Position Overview

We are actively seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team at Adorn Life Behavioral Health Center. This full-time remote position invites healthcare professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive mental health care to a diverse clientele. With a competitive salary range of $70,000 โ€“ $100,000 annually, this is an excellent opportunity to make a profound impact in the lives of individuals and families seeking support.

About the Organization

Adorn Life Behavioral Health Center is a forward-thinking community health clinic located in Memphis, Tennessee. We specialize in providing comprehensive mental health services tailored to the unique needs of our patients, embracing a model of care that prioritizes cultural competence and inclusivity. Our mission is to enhance the mental health and well-being of individuals from all walks of life, including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations. By employing a diverse team of healthcare professionals, we foster a supportive environment that encourages collaboration and growth.

Work Environment

This role offers the advantage of working remotely, allowing for flexibility and a comfortable work-life balance. Our practice operates a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, though some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of our patients. As a member of our clinical team, you will engage in meaningful interactions within a welcoming and supportive virtual setting, enriched by the contributions of your colleagues and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs and backgrounds of each patient.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care, tailored to the diverse cultural perspectives of our clients.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address a range of mental health challenges, promoting resilience and enhancing overall well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, comprehensive care for our patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, demonstrating poise and effective decision-making during mental health emergencies.
  • Educate patients and families on mental health issues, potential treatment options, and available community resource connections to enhance accessibility and understanding.
  • Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all patient information is secure and accessible only to authorized personnel.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, case discussions, and training focused on cultural competency to continually refine service delivery.
  • Stay current with best practices in mental health care, research developments, and cultural considerations in therapy to provide the best support to our clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a rich tapestry of individuals, including those from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This means you will work closely with minority groups, LGBTQ+ individuals, and non-native English speakers, allowing you to apply your expertise in culturally responsive therapy methods. By delivering personalized care, you will significantly impact mental health outcomes for these populations, supporting their journeys toward healing and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
  • In-depth understanding of mental health conditions, treatment methodologies, and a strong commitment to cultural competence within therapeutic contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy with an emphasis on inclusivity and responsiveness to diverse client needs.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills, with a proven ability to handle urgent situations effectively and empathetically.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport with patients from various backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in utilizing technology for efficient practice management.
  • A commitment to uphold professional ethics, including confidentiality and boundaries in therapeutic relationships.
  • A collaborative spirit and ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working within community health settings, providing services to marginalized populations, and familiarity with culturally adaptive therapies are highly desirable. Additional training or certifications in trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practices will greatly enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

In addition to a yearly salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, we offer a comprehensive benefits package. This includes healthcare coverage, a retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, generous paid time off (PTO), and holiday pay. We also provide professional liability insurance and continued education resources to support your career advancement.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Adorn Life Behavioral Health Center, we value professional growth and leadership potential. As a member of our clinical team, you will have access to various opportunities for advancement, whether that is through leadership positions, specialized training, or involvement in organizational initiatives. We are committed to investing in your professional development and helping you achieve your career aspirations within the mental health field.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Adorn Life Behavioral Health Center means becoming part of a dedicated team that prioritizes the quality of care provided to our patients. You will work in an inclusive environment that values innovative thinking and the unique perspectives of its staff. By contributing your skills to our practice, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive atmosphere for our patients, ultimately cultivating a thriving community.
