You are responsible for driving the growth of availability and overall sales and profit for products within our largest retail partners, Home Depot, Lowe's, and Menards. Through leadership of your team and strong project management skills, you will execute the projects of adding stores, products, and programs seemlessly and according to agreed-upon timelines

Your assignment

The National Account Manager is the strategic liaison between the company and our retailer's headquarers in their respective product lines. They leverage strong relationships with the key decision makers to expand the number of stores selling our brands as well as the depth of product offerings in existing stores. This leader will also set product pricing through thorough analysis of competitor data and internal data to ensure competitiveness and alignment with prices in our other channels.

  • Create and leverage strong relationships with key deicision makers to gain store and product offering growth.
  • Be the champion of all CAMO, STINGER and PRO-FIT product innovation launches in the Home Center channel.
  • Partner with outside sales teams and contractor strategy teams to grow NN products.
  • Drive growth in new NN branded product offerings in existing stores, adding new stores and adding new product offerings in new store expansions.
  • Partner with NN Marketing to drive awareness and sales of NN products through online marketing and promotions as well as in-store collateral.
  • Visit retail stores with relevant NN teammates to learn about opportunities for potential growth in product depth, merchandising strategies and promotions.
  • Visit retailer headquarters quarterly to present business insights and promote new ideas for products offerings, promotions and/or merchandising strategies that drive growth.
  • When new product offerings and new stores are added, leverage strong project management skills and relationships at the retailers and relevant NN teams, to ensure flawless execution.
  • Partner with NN Demand Planner to ensure monthly forecasts are accurate and effectively support the Home Center's business.
  • Leverage team of direct reports to gather competitor pricing information.
  • Analyze NN pricing data across the other channels to ensure alignment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong understanding of P&L, gross margin, trade promotion ROI, and retail math.

  • Ability to see what needs to be done and build a cross functional execution plan.
  • Strong understanding of the business, products, systems and people.

  • Assigned projects complete and on time.
  • New SKU penetration for National Nail innovation launches.
  • Store inventory turns and sell-through rate accountability.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel 15-25%.
  • At least 3 years of strategic sales or account management experience, with direct experience managing multi-million dollar national retail accounts.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading people.
