Ready to take the next step in your retail career? Join the SunStop team! We're looking for a friendly and dependable Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our convenience store. In this role, you'll help lead a team, ensure exceptional customer service, and keep the store running smoothly - all while working closely with the Store Manager. Essential Functions Statement(s) • Deliver excellent customer service by welcoming and assisting customers and addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally. • Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers. • Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorders when stock reaches designated thresholds. • Guide team members in handling complex or challenging sales transactions effectively. • Train store associates on company policies, procedures, and standards. • Be able to delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure daily objectives are met. • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and security protocols to maintain a safe working environment. • Inspect merchandise for correct pricing, quality, and proper display in alignment with brand standards. • Assist subordinates with their work activities such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise. • Create and maintain work schedules; track employee attendance and manage timekeeping records. • Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management and accounting department. • Conduct market surveys in the Store Manager's absence to support competitive analysis and pricing. • Provide support to the Store Manager as required, including on call availability • Oversee all aspects of daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent Experience: 6 plus months of experience in a store associate position with the company Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Products Database Entry Certifications & Licenses: May be required to obtain a Servesafe Certification
Additional Info:
This will be mainly a second shift position. Regular hours are 2pm-11pm. We are seeking a candidate with proven success in an assistant manager's position.
