Job description

Job Summary:

 The R&D Tax Credit Project Manager will oversee the design, development, implementation, and execution of R&D projects.  The R&D PM will lead studies and conduct interviews with clients to qualify R&D activities and business components.  Your role is crucial in aligning R&D initiatives with business goals, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high standards of quality and performance.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

  1. Conduct project qualification and wage allocations interviews, all while providing guidance and support to the client throughout the study process.
  2. Lead and manage R&D tax credit projects from concept to completion.
  3. Oversee the R&D tax credit team, providing guidance and support.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and production.
  5. Monitor and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
  6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  7. Manage the R&D budget and allocate resources effectively.
  8. Drive continuous improvement in product quality and performance.
  9. Evaluate and integrate new technologies and methodologies.
  10. Prepare and present reports on project progress and outcomes.
  11. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

 Other Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Must have good written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
  2. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure prompt completion of tasks and assignments.
  3. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. Relies on minimal instructions and pre-established guidelines and timetables to perform the functions of the job.
  4. Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Internet, and other database programs.

Qualifications:

Required:

  1. Legal Authorization to work in the United States.
  2. 3+ years of experience in R&D tax credits.
  3. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  4. Proven experience in managing R&D tax credit projects and teams.
  5. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  7. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
  8. Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  9. Experience in strategic planning and budget management.
  10. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  11. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

1.       Prior work experience at a specialty tax or Big 4 accounting firm.
