Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Manager to oversee Broker-Dealer (Client) and Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) operations. This role will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs that align with Client, SEC, and other regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. This position offers the opportunity to shape compliance strategy, lead regulatory interactions, and grow into senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily compliance operations across Client and RIA activities.
  • Maintain and enhance Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs).
  • Review/approve marketing & advertising per Client Rule 2210.
  • Oversee licensing, registration, and filings (U4/U5, Form Client, FOCUS).
  • Conduct compliance inspections, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Administer AML/BSA program, including CDD and SAR filings.
  • Lead liaison role during Client/SEC exams and inquiries.
  • Support RIA compliance (Form ADV, fiduciary standards, client best interest).
  • Deliver compliance training to staff and registered reps.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, assess business impact, and implement updates.

Requirements

  • 10+ years managing Client and/or RIA compliance (clearing services preferred).
  • Active Client licenses: Series 7 and 24 (required).
  • Familiarity with AML programs under BSA.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting (complaints, CAT, etc.).
  • Strong technical acumen with GRC tools (Salesforce, JIRA, Microsoft Suite).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with regulator-facing experience.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred

  • Additional Client licenses: Series 27, 28, 66.
  • JD or Master's in Financial Regulation.
  • Fintech, banking, or payments background.
  • Prior startup compliance experience.
