Job description:
We are looking for a results driven Commercial and Retail Tire Store Manager with 5 years experience in Commercial Automotive. The successful candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction. Meet sales profitability goals, and manage staff effectively. Preferably, a candidate with experiences in managing auto service departments, tire stores, wholesale sales, and sales department are a plus. Must have mechanical knowledge, the more the better. Candidates will have the most success if they have a background in automotive employment. Have reliable transportation to commute to the Torrington/Litchfield CT area. Please provide 10 years of employment history, if applicable. Background check and drug test will be required.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
  • Manage Commercial Tire Store, service department, wholesale sales, and sales department.

Service Writing:
  • Drive store sales & promotions with superior tire salesmanship.
  • Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Schedule 3 service personnel schedules, including on call hours.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
  • Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assist training needs.
  • Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc.)
  • Be a shining example of positive behavior and high performance.
  • Build customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Create positive results for teammates, customers and the company.
  • Understand alternative tire sourcing and competitors.
  • Attend paid training to stay up to date with new developments in the tire and automotive service industry.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills:
  • Proven successful 5 years experience in automotive.
  • Preferably tire store or wholesale sales in automotive management.
  • Must have mechanical knowledge.
  • Powerful leading skills and business orientation.
  • Customer management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BS degree in Business Administration or relevant field would be a plus but not required.

Required:
  • MINIMUM FIVE YEARS OF TIRE SALES EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated success in Commercial Sales Management.
  • Ability to work a retail schedule including Saturdays.
  • Problem solving as it relates to customer complaints.
  • Aptitude to manage inventory, order scheduling and ongoing merchandising displays.
  • Ability to assist customers for personal sales as well as complaints to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
  • Teammate and customer communication skills.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution.
