Job description

The Systems Analyst plays a key role in ensuring that clinical information is transmitted, transformed, and validated throughout the entire clinical application environment. This role has is responsible for maintaining clinical applications and servers that transmit and receive patient information between radiological modalities, lab instruments, and other various patient monitoring systems and the electronic medical record. This position performs high level application development through various scripting languages which provides internal support for custom needs within the organization. There is high demand for standard support and troubleshooting methodologies because this role participates in the after-hours standby program.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or in similar fields from an accredited institution is desired, with related experience in a healthcare setting given special consideration.
  2. Project management and system documentation experience and skills.
  3. HL7 (v2/3, CDA, FHIR) and DICOM (CDIP) Certifications, preferred. CompTIA Net+, Security+, and Microsoft certifications are considered an advantage.
  4. Four years of experience supporting healthcare information systems.
  5. Four years of experience with managing and/or supporting Windows-based enterprise class client/server applications and databases.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Able to sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day), and frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch throughout the workday.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on the telephone.
  • Requires frequent use of computers, phones, and office machinery.
  • Occasional exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue, communicable diseases, chemicals, including but not limited to sticks or cuts by needles and other sharp items. Employee eligible for Hepatitis B Vaccination if desired.
  • Must be able to perform the primary duties and responsibilities of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation:
$38.40 - $52.93 Per Hour DOE
