Job Summary
The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting facility-based information systems to enhance operational efficiency and business processes. This role collaborates with IT teams, clinical staff, and department leaders to assess system needs, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize system performance. The Systems Analyst ensures that technology solutions align with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Essential Functions

  • Analyzes, designs, and implements information systems solutions to meet the operational and clinical needs of the facility.
  • Collaborates with end users, IT teams, and leadership to assess system requirements and recommend enhancements or modifications.
  • Performs system configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
  • Supports the implementation, testing, and integration of new applications, software upgrades, and system enhancements.

  • Provides technical support and issue resolution, responding to user inquiries and escalating complex problems as needed.
  • Conducts data analysis and reporting, generating insights to support decision-making and improve system performance.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA, cybersecurity, and organizational IT policies, maintaining data security and integrity.
  • Collaborates with vendors and external partners to coordinate system updates, patches, and third-party integrations.
  • Identifies opportunities for process automation, workflow optimization, and system improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field required or
  • A combination of education and relevant experience in systems analysis may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in systems analysis, IT support, or application management required
  • Experience in healthcare IT, clinical informatics, or electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of systems analysis methodologies, software implementation, and IT troubleshooting.
  • Experience with database management, reporting tools, and system integrations.
  • Understanding of healthcare information systems, EHR platforms, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, data analytics, and system configuration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement solutions.
