Job Description
Radiology Systems AnalystPay Range: $55/hour to $65/hourPosition Overview
We are seeking an experienced Radiology Systems Analyst to support and optimize radiology applications, imaging systems, clinical workflows, and related integrations within a healthcare environment. This role will provide day-to-day application support while partnering with clinical, operational, and technical teams to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and improve system performance and workflows.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), healthcare interfaces, and radiology workflows, along with the ability to translate clinical and business requirements into effective technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day application support for Radiology Information Systems (RIS), PACS, and related imaging applications.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain radiology workflows, interfaces, integrations, and system configurations.
  • Partner with Radiologists, Technologists, Clinical Operations, IT teams, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve application and workflow issues.
  • Analyze business and clinical requirements and translate them into application and system solutions.
  • Participate in application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, testing, optimization, and system migration projects.
  • Develop and execute test plans, including unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Investigate application and system issues and coordinate with vendors and internal technical teams to drive timely resolution.
  • Monitor and support interfaces between radiology systems and other clinical applications, including EHR/EMR platforms.
  • Assist with data analysis, reporting, system configuration, and workflow optimization.
  • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation, procedures, workflows, and training materials.
  • Provide training and ongoing application support to end users as needed.
  • Participate in projects involving new technologies, application enhancements, system migrations, and regulatory or compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain awareness of healthcare technology standards, security requirements, and clinical best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on system reliability, usability, workflow efficiency, and patient care.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience supporting healthcare clinical applications, preferably in a radiology or imaging environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting PACS and/or RIS applications.
  • Experience with healthcare interfaces and integrations, including HL7.
  • Strong understanding of radiology workflows, imaging systems, and clinical environments.
  • Experience with application troubleshooting, testing, configuration, implementation, and support.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise healthcare application platforms and clinical information systems.
  • Experience with radiology and imaging applications and related clinical workflows.
  • Experience supporting PACS, RIS, DICOM, and HL7 interfaces.
  • Healthcare IT certification or relevant application certification.
  • Experience working in a hospital, health system, or similar healthcare environment.
  • Experience participating in major clinical application implementations, upgrades, migrations, or optimization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, reporting, integration, and interoperability concepts.
