Job description

Summary Job Description: Serves as functional expert regarding the software capabilities and performance of Radiology Information System Voice Recognition and Scheduling Systems. Serves as secondary support for PACS, including computed radiographic, diagnostic and storage systems, clinical workstations, film digitizers, and interfaces various Radiology sub-department equipment. Conducts needs assessments specification preparation and assists in RIS generation for the Department of Radiology, related to the procurement of systems.

Organizes and administers the Performance Improvement Council (PIC) within the Department of Radiology to include Texas Tech Physician data and reports. Analyzes data, prepares reports, and implements solutions for Performance Improvement. Required Skills: 1.

Proven computer application skills to include utilization and support of databases, data manipulation, report generation, and software applications such as Microsoft Office, Crystal Reports and SQL. 2. Strong interpersonal skills.

3. Strong oral and written communication skills. 4.

Strong analytical, problem-solving skills. 5. Strong Customer orientation.

Responsive to Customer issues with strong follow-through. 6. Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced production environment.

7. Self-motivated, self-learner, initiator, creative and flexible. 8.

Ability to exercise independent judgment and function under limited administrative supervision. 9. Skill in establishing and maintain effective working relationships with all Associates/customers.

10. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. 11.

Knowledge of imaging flow processes and imaging equipment with moderately functional trouble shooting skills. Required Experience: A. Work Experience Three years of experience in operating or installation of Radiology Information System, RIS required.

B. Education and Training Bachelor's degree in Information System Management required. Specialized training in Performance Improvement processes/courses preferred.

Knowledge of accrediting and regulatory agency requirements sufficient to ensure the quality assurance procedures are in compliance with standards.
