Job Responsibilities

Mechanical Engineer (P&E) is responsible for, but not limited to, the production of 3D models, drawings and any other support-related documentation for developing projects and project development. The Mechanical Engineer (P&E) will work within and manage a small team, within the P&E engineering discipline. 

The key responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer P&E are expressed, but not limited to the below tasks:\

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the writing of technical reports including parts lists instruction manuals.
  • Design and model machinery parts and units and perform engineering calculations where and as required.
  • Create and draft manufacturing drawings, specifications, BOMs and other related documentation.
  • Process Improvement of Manufacturing systems and functions
  • Provide expert Engineer’s assistance in the assembling and commissioning of new machinery and plant/Mill process improvements.
  • Machinery maintenance and troubleshooting support.
  • PLC programming, automation systems design.
Job Requirements

Position Requirements

Formal Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics degree

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 5 years of experience in Engineer position

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Inventor and other related software.
  • Good level of technical knowledge, including welding, machining, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Exceptional time management.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience on a diverse range of projects would be preferred.
  • An eye for detail and ability to produce quality drawings.
  • Excellent communication with ability to work well with Engineers & workshop floor technicians
