Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Compensation:

$124,000 - $125,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Design HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for industrial construction projects.
  • Provide engineering design and technical support for industrial ammonia refrigeration systems with a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and other technical documentation.
  • Review contractor RFIs, submittals, and project documents and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with client architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to develop coordinated project solutions.
  • Work directly with CAD technicians and field personnel to provide accurate and reliable design support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections and provide engineering support during construction.
  • Ensure mechanical designs and installations comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
  • Participate in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination activities.
  • Support sales efforts through project quoting, design development, technical consultation, and customer interactions.
  • Identify and help resolve technical challenges that arise during design and construction.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support project and company objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience within the construction or industrial construction industry.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems in industrial, food processing, or cold storage environments is highly desired.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and applicable mechanical design software.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building systems, construction methods, and construction processes.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, field personnel, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, safe, and high-quality engineering work.
