Are you an Automation Programmer who loves solving complex puzzles? NOS Automation is looking for a versatile PLC & HMI Programmer to join our team in Grand Rapids, MN. We support the heavy-hitters of industry—Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas, and Power—providing the logic that keeps the lights on and the wheels turning.

The Role at a Glance:

  • Flexibility: Hybrid work model (Grand Rapids office + Remote + Field).
  • Tech Stack: Working across Rockwell, Siemens, Emerson, and Schneider.
  • Impact: Full-lifecycle projects from initial code to live commissioning.

What We’re Looking For:

  • The Essentials: Strong experience in programming and troubleshooting PLC/HMI systems.
  • Platform Knowledge: Proficiency in at least two major platforms (e.g., Studio 5000, TIA Portal, FactoryTalk).
  • Systems Intelligence: A solid understanding of DCS, VFDs, and PID tuning.
  • Soft Skills: The ability to walk onto a plant floor and communicate clearly with a maintenance lead or a plant manager.

Bonus Skills:

  • Networking (Ethernet, Firewalls, Domains).
  • CAD/Drafting skills.
