Job description

Summary/Objectives: Project Manager is responsible for handling internal and external projects, especially customer-initiated projects.  You will work closely with your team to ensure that all project requirements, budgets, deadlines, and schedules are on track. As Project Manager you will also act as the voice of the customer to the organization to facilitate collaboration in the design, build, and acceptance of the equipment or service necessary for successful projects within your assigned portfolio.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Manage projects from start to finish, including project organization, maintaining schedule, meeting customer needs and managing projects costs
  • Provide the best customer service in the industry
  • Cultivate an open communication environment
  • Preparing status reports and facilitating project meetings
  • Establishing effective project communication plans as well as the execution of said plans
  • Coordinating with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, budgets, deadlines, and schedules
  • Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues
  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards
  • Preparing status updates by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information
  • Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
  • Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Identifying and developing new project process improvements opportunities with the team
  • Obtaining cross functional and cross organizational team's acceptance of project deliverables
  • Managing cross functional and cross organizational team's need as well as satisfaction within project period
  • Conducting post project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements

  • Financial aptitude with knowledge of or ability to learn business concepts related to sales and marketing, forecasting, negotiating deals, estimating and tracking product and project costs
  • Ability to negotiate with customers, suppliers and coworkers
  • Ability to effectively balance between customer satisfaction and optimizing financial returns

 

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Project Management, or similar)
  • Proven experience in project management (3-5 years)
  • Budget management experience

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • A Master's degree in a related field (MBA, Engineering, or similar)
  • Prior team managment experience
